Clarksville-Falls of the Ohio State Park

Clarksville, Ind., shares its claim for fame. It's believed to be the first American town. At the former Colgate-Palmolive plant sits one of the largest clocks in the world. (Yes, it's so big you can see it across the river in Louisville.). The Texas Roadhouse restaurant chain started here. The Falls of the Ohio State Park features the 390-million-years-old Devonian Fossil beds, one of the largest exposed fossil beds in the U.S. The Clarksville Little Theater is one of the oldest continuously running community theaters in the country. If you prefer to dine and watch, the Derby Dinner Playhouse, the only dinner theater in the area, calls Clarksville home, too.
