Strathmoor/Gardiner Lane

Strathmoor-Bardstown Road

Characterized by tree-lined streets, spacious houses and its proximities to public parks the mostly residential neighborhoods of Strathmoor/Gardiner Lane/Hawthorne-Wellington and Hayfield-Dundee add charm and beauty to the larger Highlands area. Fun fact: most of the residential streets in Hawthorne are named after writers or poets. Sullivan University is also located in the neighborhood.

These residential neighborhoods are quiet but have amenities, such as grocery stores, restaurants, dry cleaners and salons within walking distance. Its also home to the Original Homemade Pie and Ice Cream Kitchen, Morris' Deli and The Bakery at Sullivan. The famed  Bambi Walk bar crawl begins at the Bambi Bar in the Strathmoor neighborhood and travels west down Bardstown Rd. and Baxter Ave.
